Industrial Symphony | An industrial meld of structure and soundscapes will lend an eclectic point of view; inspired heavily by the photo-works of Bernd and Hilla Becher. Their work often included the documentation of Water Towers, Coal Tipples, Gas Tanks and Silos. Like the Bechers, I was intrigued by the fact that so many industrial buildings were built with a great deal of attention to detail and design. I decided to fuse my adoration of traditional tailoring with the works of the Bechers to create a contemporary aesthetic of my own. Through pattern cutting, my aim was to design an effortless and bold collection that compliments the beauty of tradition with the excitement of the new.
