The inspiration for the collection derived from looking at the behaviour of light and shadows when shone through textured glass and other materials. This simple alteration of light produced numerous shapes and volumes that are mirrored through the collection. The use of silk chiffon and pig’s suede accentuated these references depending on the way they were manipulated. Also the suede and chiffon are used as contrasts to represent the idea of soft and hard, as in the light against the hard glass/wall.
